Detailed below is some of the information that "Google Analytics" will provide me and how I intend to use that information;

The number of people using the "My Oasis Collection" website
Again, having spent a lot of time creating the "My Oasis Collection" website, it would be nice to know whether anyone other than myself is viewing it. "Google Analytics" will provide me with information on the total number of users, both in real time and over set periods of time, for example per day/week. It will also break this down into sub-groups for example new users and returning users.
This information will only be used for curiosity purposes and I may display these details on the "My Oasis Collection" from time to time.

General Geographical Location
Collecting Oasis CDs is a passion of mine and I know it's a passion shared by collectors "All Around the World". "Google Analytics" will provide me with information on where in the world people are viewing the "My Oasis Collection". Wouldn't it be nice to know that someone from every country in the world had visited the "My Oasis Collection" website. Again. this information will primarily used for curiosity purposes, however should I identify that there are a large number of users from a country I didn't expect to be viewing the "My Oasis Collection" then I may tailor content accordingly. Again, I may display these details on the "My Oasis Collection" from time to time.

Which pages people are viewing
There is lots and lots of information contained within the "My Oasis Collection" website and will appeal to some viewers more than others, for example the "New to Collecting Oasis CD's?" page. Knowing which pages are being viewed more frequently will enable me to further improve these pages with extra content or conversely any pages that are surprisingly not being viewed I can look at improving the content or providing extra signposting. In creating the "My Oasis Collection" website there was a lot of consideration put into formatting, as the website looks different on a laptop compared to a mobile phone for example. I know this from personal experience and sometimes I have had to slightly compromise the formatting in favour of one device over another in order to give an overall good experience for all users. Thus, if I become aware of a predominant device or a favoured browser then I may begin to tailor content towards that particular media at the expense of others, where necessary.

Firstly, it tells me I can increase signposting in areas that are not being used or make the signposting more attractive.
